It appears the rumor of Sonic coming to Connecticut has been confirmed. Robert Mesite, owner of the beloved Yankee Silversmith in Wallingford, has submitted a site plan to erect a Sonic on the site of his former flagship restaurant. If approved, and there’s no reason it shouldn’t be, the new Sonic is slated for a Spring 2010 opening. Mesite also has hopes of opening 5-7 other Sonic locations in Connecticut.
