I’ll be eating Worcester’s best sushi this weekend, as previously mentioned.
If you haven’t made up your foodie mind yet, here’s a roundup of this week’s local dining news and reviews…
Hartford Courant
- Gran-daddy’s Smokehouse and BBQ, Putnam. Repping the Quiet Corner. (Happy, Jeff L.??)
- The Silo, Farmington. Offering a special prix-fixe menu: dinner for 2 with wine, $39. 90. That’s pretty fantastic.
- New Haven Restaurant Week: Running from Nov. 8-13. New Haven has some of the best food in the entire state, famous pizza aside.
Hartford Advocate
- Comerio’s, Hartford. Feel-good Puerto Rican cuisine.
Springfield Republican/MassLive.com
- Typical Sicilian, Springfield. Emphasis on Southern Italian ‘red-sauce’ cooking.

I saw that in yesterday’s paper. One which will remain nameless since they sent the final section a day late! I want to try that place. It sounds really yummy!
New Haven Restaurant Week rocks! I’ve enjoyed the first two and wish I could this time. Go to Ibiza or Union League Cafe — the most expensive restaurants in New Haven — to take advantage of the prix fixe.
