She's single, gentlemen!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Sara Grant. A 23-year-old  web producer for courant.com’s entertainment section, Sara – a recent UConn graduate – is living the twentysomething professional life and loving it.

With all these transitions into the ‘real world,’ Sara is also looking to expand her palate. So she’s agreed to have Fun With Carbs follow along as she broadens her culinary horizons and tries new dishes.

Here’s where you come in, readers. Which cuisine should Sara try first?

She’s had sushi before, but she says she doesn’t count shrimp tempura rolls as ‘authentic.’ She hasn’t had much experience with seafood.

We’re thinking: Thai, Vietnamese, Indian to start. Maybe even Middle Eastern. A steaming bowl of pho, pad Thai, chicken korma (or tikka masala) and shish kebabs. Nothing completely unrecognizable.

So exciting, the notion of ‘training’ a new foodie!
