It started when I posted this link to Boston.com’s list of “New England Summer Beers.” Not a single Connecticut entry made the cut.
This happens so frequently that it’s truly not even worth getting pissed over. Bostonians seem to think Connecticut is part of New York and therefore not New England. And really, that means more (undiscovered) beer for us.
But it’s unfair, if you think about it. There’s a lot of magical brewing happening right here within state lines – more than ever, if you count the emerging nanobreweries like Relic, Back East and several others that have popped up in 2012 alone. New England Brewery’s strong cult favorites could stand up to pretty much anything in the country. Massachusetts-based beer drinkers deserve to know what’s coming out of their neighbor to the south.
