Scenes From Mystic Country, August 2012

Rob has been bugging me to post about our month-ago weekend in the Mystic area, enough that I’ve been tempted to hand him my Macbook and tell him to have at it. ALL RIGHT, ALREADY.

Mystic is our all-time favorite in-state vacation destination. It’s less than 90 minutes from our home, but feels like so much more of an escape, with its waterfront beauty and relaxed vibe. We try to make a weekend of it every year, even when we have other trips planned.

Our trip, in pictures:

Bobby Blue Burger at Bobby's Burger Palace, Mohegan Sun

Tasting wines and ciders at Holmberg Orchards, Gales Ferry

Ledyard House Rose at Maugle Sierra Vineyards

As a bonus, a pic of my November story about Oyster Club in Mystic (I’d vowed to return in the summer; made good on my promise, wasn’t disappointed.)

Until next time, Mystic.
